1. To begin, the lever should be in the upright position.

2. To attach the top section of the die set, secure the top portion with the threaded screw into the main rectangular shaft.

No threads should be visible.

Warning: If any threads are visible the die set will be damaged!

3. Insert the bottom half of the die into the base plate.

Adjust the base plate if necessary to line up the top and bottom of the die set to each other.

4. Place the grommet face down (shank facing up) on the bottom of the die set.

5. Place the fabric with the front side facing down over the grommet.

The shank of the grommet should be sticking up through the fabric hole.

6. Place a washer over the grommet with the rough side facing down.

Please note: if a plastic support washer is being used, place it between the fabric and the washer.

The shank of the grommet should be sticking upwards through the washer.

7. Pull the lever down to set the grommet. The top and bottom of the die set will line up evenly.

Warning: Do not over press grommets.

8. The grommet will look like this when completed.
